[ Kyousuke has decided to take on one of the jobs at the post office, which means he has a convenient way to directly deliver a thank-you note to Crepe for her gift. A thank-you over text just seems impersonal, while thanking her to her face seems a little too personal.

So he's delivering the following letter to her: ]

Miss Crepe,

Thank you for your package. I cannot say that I am appeased by placating gestures, but it is clear that you have put the effort of thoughtfulness into your gift, and I respect that effort.

There is no need for you to apologize for my presence here in the first place; I would rather thank you all the more for the opportunity. I cannot say how unique my opinion is on this matter, but if you are amenable, I would be interested in discussing my perspective with you, at a time when you are available for a private conversation. You may contact me over the communicator as desired. [ He includes his phone number, of course. ]

Please accept my gratitude regardless. I hope this letter sees you well.

[Strictly speaking, there's no reason that Sonia should specifically need to write to Crepe. She's at the library often enough and is aware enough of how amenable to conversation Crepe is that an in-person thank-you would be fine - except that Sonia was raised as a Princess and the polite thing to do would be to respond to the correspondence in kind.

Besides. This way she can include a gift too, a small Moogle figurine that's carefully wrapped and boxed along with a letter on as fine a paper as Sonia could find, written in careful, elegant script and with a small, basic butterfly drawn in blue onto the envelope. The package is duly handed over to a member of staff when Sonia visits the library that day, and she's in no hurry to leave afterwards even if she's not anticipating further reply.]

Dear Miss Crepe,

I hope that this delivery finds you well. I did consider that I might hand it to you in person, however I did not wish for you to feel pressured into an immediate reaction. Rather, I would prefer that you accept this at your leisure.

With regards to your note, please do not feel that you need apologise. It is true that this is not something I had anticipated, however that does not mean I do not appreciate all you have done to try to make our time here as comfortable as you are able to, all things considered. Also, please do not feel that you must particularly thank me for helping where I can within your library - it is the least I can do when you are so generous with access.

Finally, I hope that you like the gift I have sent. It seems only proper that I should acknowledge your generosity in kind, particularly when so much thought has been given in creating the gifts you have sent. If there is anything further I can do in thanks for your kindness, please do let me know.

[ A knock sounds at Crepe's door. Prior to leaving the dorms to pay her a visit, Minato had called the main line at her home, informing a staff member that he and Winter would like to come speak to Crepe later that day, and if they could please let her know. ]

Hello... Sorry to intrude.

[ The saying is a force of habit, but after entering the building, Minato lingers behind and defers to Winter, who he means to ask what he wants while Minato plays the part of company. ]

[ Winter's been by the library often enough, but he hasn't actually paid a visit to her since... ever. At all. There's something a bit odd to be calling on an unrelated young woman like this.

But at the same time, they've gotten this far! Backing out now feels silly, especially since he'd asked Minato to accompany him in the first place.

He walks with his back straight and his head up, his hands folded behind his back: too-proper posture, almost more like an automaton than a human being. At least for the moment, he's doing a good job of projecting confidence. ]

[Having been informed of the visit, Crepe is there to meet them at the door. It's rude, she thinks, to have servants bring people in. Maybe the rich do it that way, but she's not used to having a staff of her own, and she'd much rather behave in the way she was raised to, when she can.

So she's there, in her prim and proper navy dress and grey cardigan, her fluffy white tail waving gently.]

[ Minato enters without a fuss, much more at ease than Winter seems to be, because he's used to just going wherever he wants and making himself at home. The infirmary is where he frequents more often than not, only occasionally the library or skulking about the building to see if anybody new has turned up— this is the point he and Winter means to talk to Crepe about, how her powers have been coming along, and whether there's anything that could be helped to facilitate better control. Also, he hears there's good tea. ]
